Dear Strain-Japan Students and Family Members,

I hope that you and your child/children have had a wonderful school year so far.  I cannot believe that we are already appraoching the Holidays!   It has been such a great experience getting to know each child. staff members, and family members of the Strain-Japan School!

I am writing this becasue I wanted you to know a little bit about who is teaching your child in PE and Health.  This is my first year of teaching PE and Health.  Last year I was a 4th grade Co-Teacher at Cooper County R-IV but I decided I would love to have my own classroom.  Looking for a job in this economy was a little difficult and I was very thankful to find a position here at Strain-Japan.

I live in Boonville, Missouri and graduated from the local high school in 2005.  I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University in 2009.  I recieved a Bachelor of Science in Education.  My major is Physical Education and my minor is Health.  During my time at Northwest I feel the courses that I took gave me the knowledge necessary to lead your child in healthy and fit ways, such as different techniques to eat healthy and stay fit for the rest of their life.

I am not only a school teacher; I am a mother of a two year old, a volleyball referee, a pampered chef consultant, cake baker/decorater and a loyal scrapbooker.  I enjoy running in 5k's, playing volleyball and wallyball, walking outside, cooking, baking, watching basketball and football games throughout the week, and reading a good book at night.

You can reach me by phone
(573)627-3243, email brlenger@gmail.com or stopping by school.  My plan times are 7:30 - 8:00a.m. and 8:30 - 9:00 a.m.  I hope that everyone continues to have a wonderful school year and a great Holiday Season!

Yours Truly,

Rebecca Lenger
